17 Apr Call to all Northants creative businesses and practitioners
Northampton Film Festival (NFF) has issued a call to all Northants creatives working in, or aspiring to work in, the Creative Industries to complete a short online consultation about the sector locally.
NFF Director Becky Carrier says, “We ran our first Creative Industries Expo in Nov 2023 including a session which asked ‘What does Northants really need to prosper in the Creative Industries?’. Some very interesting conversations started as a result of that session and we found there was lots of synergy about what those in the room thought might make the Northants creative scene stronger, so this consultation is about talking to as much of the sector as we can and then, together, making some changes that we all want to see.”
The consultation is predominantly one question, and participants can complete it anonymously or sign up to be part of the on-going process. The survey also provides creative businesses with the opportunity to add themselves to a creative map of the county which will produce an online directory of who is operating in Northants, what they do and when their activities are. The work has been made possible with the support of Northamptonshire Community Foundation.
Northants creatives can find the online survey here https://forms.gle/XEs5vVZJzDGpRVJc6 and are encouraged to share it with their networks.
NFF are also running free in-person networking events which will also include an element of consultation on the evenings of Monday 22nd April at The Core theatre in Corby and on Wednesday 1st May at the University of Northampton.
