10 Nov Can You Support Rushden Academy ?

Rushden Academy are planning to hold a Careers Day on Thursday 9th March 2023, 9.00-13.25.

The staff at the school have encouraged the students to put together a list of careers that they are interested in. They are now looking for employers from those areas who would be kind enough to give up a few hours on the day to speak with pupils. The day would be held in the school and would consist of stands for each organisation with the pupils speaking with the employers to find out more about that career or industry.

Some of the occupations that the pupils have enquired about for are Doctor, Nurse, Physio, Beauty, Childcare, Art/Design, Acting/Dancing, Mechanics, Chemists, Surgeon, Sports, Programming, Motor sport engineering, Psychology, Forensics, Criminology, Logistics, Animal Care, Chef, Electrician, Plumber, Builder, Farming, Dentist, Radiology, Marine Biologist, Care/Elderly, Development/planning and Media.

Encouragingly due to the work in the school many of the above occupations align with those most in demand.
