Live travel news, bus updates, special offers and news – Brackmills launches new app

A new app has been launched for Brackmills Industrial Estate – packed with maps, live traffic and bus updates, special offers, discounts, news and events.

This new app, which includes a Get Active section packed with cycleway and footpath routes, classes, clubs and a business directory, is the brainchild of Brackmills Business Improvement District (BID).

Howard Wilson, Chair of Brackmills BID, explained: “Thanks to our new app all our estate information is in one place, at the touch of a button and available to all. We tested the Brackmills app before launching and a group of volunteers from across the estate helped us shape the design and content. Download it today – perfect not just for senior staff, but for everyone working on our estate.”

Brackmills is now in its 14th year as a Business Improvement District and is home to more than 180 businesses and over 180,000 employees. This new app was launched at the BID’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) in October 2023.

Maria Mckeown, from Travis Perkins, said: “There is something for everyone on this app. You have traffic information and bus updates so that people working on our estate will literally know when the next bus is coming. There is upcoming news from the estate, money off vouchers, and Get Active information. What’s not to love!”

Since its launch Brackmills staff – as well as estate visitors – have been busy downloading the app.

As an added incentive, Brackmills BID is running a competition.

People who download the app are in with a chance of winning one of six £25 vouchers, to spend in a Brackmills business of your choice.
