11 Aug #MORETHANJUSTNETWORKING – A WELL EARNED REST!
After the business of the NNBN Awards, it was time for a well earned rest but not without an explosive start to the week!
MONDAY
What better way to start the week than a visit to Beat Route Radio for Simon to talk with business matters from around Northamptonshire with Ian Griffiths. Simon talked about the forthcoming events, the announcement of the NNBN Awards and the progress NNBN has been making since launching in February 2022. It’s always great to talk with Ian and his passion for local radio is something that he and the team should be extremely proud of. In fact, we’re looking forward to welcoming them to the forthcoming Northamptonshire’s Good Food & Drink Festival at Kettering Park Hotel in September as they will be helping to promote the vendors on air and engaging with local people.
The afternoon was spent packing suitcases ahead of our pending journey to Norfolk for a well earned rest and boy was it needed! But….. not before our Summer Social! Yes, an opportunity to bring people together for a BBQ and “chill”. Whilst others were overseas and on the beach, we had a relaxing BBQ on a glorious summer’s evening at The Chester House Estate OUTSIDE, yes OUTSIDE!!!! A big thank you to Jack, Georgia, Lisa and the team at The Chester House Estate who looked after us superbly and we were delighted that over 60 people joined us for the evening in a laid back event.
TUESDAY
We woke up in Norfolk as our break away began and it was just lovely…… time away with the family an a chance to unwind and relax. It’s been an extremely busy year with our growth, learning, plans for the future and everything that we are involved in and, although we were enjoying a well earned rest, both Simon and Marie were there to help our members who needed some help during the week by catching up with the odd email and telephone call.
WEDNESDAY – FRIDAY
Well that was our time although Simon did jump for joy when we received an email notification of a new member as the Northamptonshire Community Foundation joined us and we look forward to working with them going forward to support the great work they do around the County. Welcome!
Not much more can be said about the week except a big thank you to everyone who came to the NNBN Summer Social and thank you to everyone who continues to be involved in the NNBN Community. The community is growing and we should all be proud of what we are achieving together.
This is why we’re #morethanjustnetworking
