NNBN Founders Nominated for BBC Award

This week, a lovely surprise was received at NNBN HQ in our Inbox.

To our surprise, NNBN Founders Marie Baker and Simon Cox have been shortlisted as a FINALIST in the “Together” category for BBC Radio Northampton’s inaugural Make a Difference Awards. BBC Radio Northampton received loads of nominations across the eight categories which included some beautiful words about Simon and Marie’s dedication and effort which is obviously highly valued by many.

Presenter Helen Blaby and four external judges had to shortlist four finalists for each Make a Difference category and both Marie and Simon were shortlisted.

BBC Radio Northampton is hosting a special afternoon tea and awards ceremony at Franklin’s Gardens on Thursday 15th September and the winners will be announced on the day.

Director Simon Cox said “Thank you to whoever nominated us for this award, it was a total surprise and we are truly grateful to those who put us forward.”

“We do what we believe is right and we’re looking forward to an afternoon of celebration with all the other finalists at Franklins Gardens.”
