Supporting Small Businesses across Northamptonshire
Small Business Saturday UK is a grassroots, non-commercial campaign, which highlights small business success and encourages consumers to ‘shop local’ and support small businesses in their communities.
The day itself takes place on the first Saturday in December each year, but the campaign aims to have a lasting impact on small businesses.
On Small Business Saturday, customers across the U.K. go out and support all types of small businesses, online, in offices and in stores. Many small businesses take part in the day by hosting events and offering discounts.
Here in Northamptonshire, we’re delighted to be working with a number of Small Businesses around the County in helping them to grow and engage and now we’re calling on other local business groups, organisations and local authorities to support this year’s campaign.
This year we’re going to organise a Small Business Saturday meet up in Northampton town centre, bringing small business owners together for a coffee to network and engage, exchange contact ideas and share the love for small businesses in Northamptonshire. More information to follow.

25th November (7 pm – 9 pm) – Join Simon Cox on NLive Radio 106.9 FM talking about Small Business Saturday and the build up to the campaign with interviews with small business owners from across Northamptonshire
6th December (8 am – 5 pm) – Join in the Small Business Saturday online conversation. Follow the #smallbizsatuk hashtag and engage in the conversation.
6th December (10 am – 11 am) – Join the Small Business Saturday Meet Up! More details to follow!
