Northamptonshire membership organisation, NNBN, has joined the Sustainable Business Alliance.
Having signed the Northampton Sustainability Accord, become members of the Organisation for Responsible Business, announced as Good Business Charter accredited business and committed to signing the SME Climate Hub pledge in 2022, NNBN have gone one step further and are now encouraging local businesses to consider joining the Sustainable Business Alliance.
Founded in 2023, the SBA works with academic and consultancy partners with expertise covering environmental, social and governance topics, to provide training, support and tools for businesses starting on their sustainable journeys and NNBN have opted to join the SBA as Members to help share this message across Northamptonshire.
NNBN Director Simon Cox said “Sustainability is a word we hear a lot about these days and it’s not just down to the environment – there are other factors that are involved and I’m confident that the work that the SBA will be delivering in Northamptonshire will help entrepreneurs and small business owners to understand more about what they can do to become more sustainable in the future.”
“NNBN is keen to support such initiatives in the County and ensure local businesses are aware of what’s going on. We have a dedicated Sustainability Hub on our website which is sharing news of key initiatives and we will continue to share this information with those who visit our website or follow our social media channels.”
Founder of the Sustainable Business Alliance Simon Derrick said “We’re delighted to have organisations such as NNBN supporting the Sustainable Business Alliance and we’re looking forward to working with local businesses to help support them on their journey to a more sustainable future.”
